چکیده

Dose-response analysis (DRA) has been a very popular topic within statistical estimation especially in biomedical areas. In addition to estimating the entire dose-response relationship, assessing the risk itself at a certain dose level has been of much interest in some applications, such as in estimating the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) in Phase I clinical trials. Although a variety of parametric dose-response models have been proposed and successfully used in practice, many of the exiting models may not be appropriate in terms of capturing the underlying shape of the dose-response curve. As the estimation of the MTD depends crucially on the assumed dose-response curve, we explore both parametric and nonparametric methods. In addition, we compare both frequentist and Bayesian MTD estimation methods and propose new approaches that are based on Bernstein polynomials to model a dose-response function, which is ∗Seung Jun Shin is a graduate student and Sujit K. برآورد دوزهای هدف با استفاده از روش MCPMod در مطالعات دوز-پاسخ

Background and Objective: Determining adequate model and estimation of target dose with high precision is a key goal in dose-response studies. MCPMod is a new method that used for model selection and estimation of target doses and unlike other methods it does not have any limitation.  In this method, selection of models has performed by hypothesis testing also increasing responses that are a cr...

Radioiodine (131-I) treatment for Graves’ disease: Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation for patient personalized dose estimation

Background: Reliable estimation of radiation-absorbed dose is necessary to evaluate the benefits and the risks of radiopharmaceuticals used for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes in nuclear medicine. Materiel and Methods: This study included 47 patients treated with iodine-131 for Graves’ disease. A comparative study between Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation and MIRD formalism was carried out to ev...

Comparative assessment of the accuracy of maximum likelihood and correlated signal enhancement algorithm positioning methods in gamma camera with large square photomultiplier tubes

Introduction: The gamma cameras, based on scintillation crystal followed by an array of photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), play a crucial role in nuclear medicine. The use of square PMTs provides the minimum dead zones in the camera. The camera with square PMTs also reduces the number of PMTs relative to the detection area. Introduction of a positioning algorithm to improve the spat...

Comparative Study of HEC-HMS Rainfall-Runoff Model with Different Experimental Methods of Flood Estimation

The most important problem in estimating floods is the lack of sufficient statistics and consequently the lack of evaluation of the appropriate amount of flow. One of the flood estimation methods in these basins is the use of hydrological modeling. In this study, Shahbahram river flood modeling was performed with Nazmkan hydrometric station located in Kohkiluyeh Boyer-Ahmad province with HEC-HM...
